The current fix is to go into EFI BIOS Hold DEL duringstartup> Click Exit/Advanced mode> Advanced Mode> Advanced Tab> APM>Powered on by PCI-E>
This is disabled by default, select [ENABLE]
This shaves 10-15 seconds off my boot time. You can also shave another 6-8 seconds off by disabling the MARVELL SATA PORTS (WHITE SATA 6.0GbPS port) provided there is nothing in them.
If you aren't using the white SATA ports, the Marvell controller still looks for devices on startup (which normally causes P8P67 users to experience 2 ASUS splash screens on cold or warm boot, with a Marvell BIOS message that reads "No Hard Disk Drives Detected!") then simply go back into EFI BIOS , back to the Advanced mode EFI> Advanced tab> Click or select Onboard Devices Configuration> select Marvel Storage Controller> this is enabled by default; Click or select [Disable].
Provided both of these help your board, you can shave up to 20 seconds off boot, and 6-8 seconds off a restart! Hope this helps you. Great build! I hope you have years of fun and excitement with it!
Wow sweet, but im using those white sata ports for my 2 hdds so i'll only enable power on by PCI-E, i'll check your rig out now.
