The i5 2500k is miles better than any AMD x4, not to say that the latter is a bad processor, but it is rather old and approaching the end of its lifecycle. Also important to note, the i5 2500k has the best price/performance than any mid-high end processor.
As for the GPU, the 5850 is nearly as good as the 6870, and $65 cheaper, making it easily one of the best GPU deals on the market.CPU: Intel i5 2500k
