Read through the Skinnee link. He had no leak with the VL3N but did with the VL4. There is now a VL4N and I think I will go with those but I'd like to see an actual size photo just so I can see how big they are.

Can a banana fit in it? LOL

I'm wanting to use multiples and was wanting the VL4N for the ID size. Could you post a pic of the male/female together inside your case? Just holding it.

I wondering why they changed the setup on the VL4N's and the VL3N's? I like this guys setup where he has the females with the screw mounts and males with the compression fittings. Also they're 3/8" screw ons.

For draining purposes, you need:

2 Male
1 Female

QDC. VL3N's are awesome. You have a male and female in your loop at the bottom of it, then when you come to drain your loop, get a spare piece of tube and attach the spare male adapter with the tube into the disconnected female fitting. Watch your loop drain with ease and simply replace the male/female connection.

And yes, they do replace a barb, kind of. If you wish to attach it to a fitting, you'll need a compression fitting for that, it depends which QDC you buy. They attach straight onto tubing. You can see the barbs where the tubing attaches in this picture:
