And a game requiring lots of power is NOT acknowledging PC gamers!! It's the opposite. The game is gonna be poorly optimized for the PC. Just like black ops.
Maybe it was drivers? Idk, but whenever I tried to play Dirt 2 on max settings, it would go fine for like 5 seconds, and then it was like time slowed down for 5 seconds... back and forth. Weirdest thing ever. I've never seen any other game do anything like it.

I'm sure an i5 would run it just fine.

If the lowest possible settings are an Athlon X2 and a Pentium D, my processor even should handle it fine.

Dirt 2 runs great (at least in SP), I believe that's a problem on your end, not Codemaster's.

This game has the same recommended requirements as Dirt 2 and only slightly higher minimum. It's actually surprising that the requirements are so low.

As has been said, the requirements are most likely marketing (and surely they can't recommend any card in the HD6000 series or all Phenom II's, that's a huge range) and should be taken with a grain of salt. Also, requirements for Dirt 2 were almost as high.

DX11.

So much ignorance in this thread. Dirt 1 was a horrific console port. Dirt 2 was the complete opposite. In fact, Dirt 1 runs worse and it looks like sh-poop.

Let me get this straight... High specs = marketing scheme, console port, etc. Low specs = console port, devs screwing over PC, etc. All this determined by (meaningless) requirements for a game that isn't even released yet and for which none of you can say with any certainty how it will perform.

lololol

Look at how huge of a jump the minimum is to the recommended
