Question about Display

This is more about my monitor (I think) than my video card.

I currently have a Radeon 5850 and it is rigged with an Asus 23" monitor (model number escapes me at this point).

My question is about my display...For some reason whenver I maximize a window in Windows 7 or a web page, I cannot see the scroll bar on the right side. Now it being a HD monitor, I have no way to adjust it to fit correctly.

I have tried EVERYTHING to fix this. I have tried going into the monitor settings I have tried going into CCC and fixing it by using the scaling function and no matter what I do it does not fit correctly.

Is there something that I could be overlooking that would fix this issue?

Any advice at all would be a huge weight off of my shoulders. Not that the problem is life threatening but it just erks me... I built a brand new rig and everything works great minus this issue.....

Thanks again.

I should also point out that I am an avid gamer and this issue does not persist through gaming. As soon as I load up The Witcher or SC2 etc it goes away.

For me to get mine to fit properly I have to pick a resolution out of the HDTV choices, not the BASIC choices in CCC.

In CCC, in the Desktop Properties tab, you will see a resolution window with two main options.

Basic and HDTV

Basic allows you to choose actual resolutions such as 19__ x 12__ etc etc.
HDTV allows you to only choose standards such as 1080i, 1080p, etc etc.

The latest drivers suck and my resolution doesn't even show up in Basic, so I had to choose one of the HDTV options.
