this my my spec

2500k (OC to 4.5Ghz+)
p67 extreme4
sapphire 6950 2GB(shader unlocking)
1 vertex 2 60GB
1 spinpoint f3 1tb
ripjaws x series/Corsair vengeance 1600mhz 2x2GB
hyper 212+
cooler master 692 advanced

i am thinking about getting the corsair 750tx v2 or the corsair 650hx

which one is better for my rig? i might go crossfire with two 6950 in the future, but thats not going to happen until mid 2012. consider the set up and space for upgrade which would be sufficient and supplies great power for my parts??

AMD recommends a 500W to power a system with one 6950 in it, so that means the HX650 would be perfect if you had two 6950s installed. Plus, the HX650 is a better PSU than the TX750 V2 (not just because it's modular either).

Actually I think the TXv2 is a little better on the electrical side.

Phaedrus2129 knows way more about PSUs than I do.

When he says I'm wrong, I'm wrong.

I'm serious: I take him at his word when it comes to PSUs, and I think everyone else should too.

Except it's not modular, but yeah.

However, I still pick the HX650 because with PSUs of this caliber, we're really only splitting hairs.

Why not split the difference and get the 650 TXv2? Cheaper, still plenty of power, but not modular yeah

Can also grab the XFX 650W, as I recall it's the same guts as the TXv2, cheaper, modular. Worse CS. Always some drawback.

Sorry, could not resist.

But yes, Phaedrus does know more about PSU's then most all here.
