This is normal. At lower OC's it doesnt take much more vcore to increase the multi. Once you past 4.5ish it starts to take substantially more vcore just to raise the multi by 1 or 2. For example it takes 1.39 for me to get 5GHz but I need 1.48 to get 5.3GHz

I'm certain you can use less Vcore for 4.5. I use 1.289 on my 2600K and that's with HT enabled. Give it a go with less smile.gif

Do you have any Load Line Calibration enabled?

also what error code are you getting? BSOD during p95 blend runs almost always means need moar vcore

? he is already bsod'ing with more than that... If he lowers vcore anymore he probably wont be able to boot to windows, if he goes lower, he probably wont be able to boot to BIOS.

im now 40 mins into prime 95 at 1.325vcore in bios(1.38 in windows?) at 4.7. Temps are peaking at 60C now. still nothing to worry about but the 1.38 is .055 more then im setting in bios and thats bothersome.

Depends on if he is using LLC or not.

True, he already stated he was getting vdrop so I suggested adjusting LLC or again giving more vcore.

vcore is really king when it comes to oc'ing these SB chips. If your going for 4.5+GHz I recomend using some LLC, however I am not familiar with the levels on your board.

Uggg...I'm at 1.415 LLC 6 to stay fairly stable at 5.0. When at 100% load it hangs tough at 1.404. If I drop to 1.392 it turns blue. sad-smiley-002.gif
