I was messing around with my 1156 rig earlier and my numbers sucked too. With my 655k @4.8ghz and my STT's at ~1010mhz 7-8-7 I was getting similar numbers to yours. I don't think I'm even going to bother with 1156, I'll just concentrate on AM3.

I guess you all havent figured out that IMC speed is linked to BCLK....

200BCLK = 3.6 uncore
210BCLK = 3.78 uncore
220BCLK = 3.96 uncore

just a lil better but thats the only one you shouldnt try and beat it because reggie needs hardware.......ok pity party over now

@wumpus you know way of 1156 please do share bout to go under in a few hours and got no back up rig for skype chat, trying w7 x64 for the first time but on other board xp and 7 x86 numbers were around the same and it was bad. This board is kinda dumb minimal imc tweaking options not sure if ill be able to do it with this set up. Oh yea im benching a 670. Just looking for max freq for now hope its at least 5.8 on dice

got a 5870 that has no problem doing 1000\\1300 on air so should be good for next comp.

get as much BCLK as possible...will need more vtt as it gets higher as IMC speed also does as well.

In order to achieve the BCLK you are also going to need to play with the RAM/QPI multiplier combos....needs some tweaking but it can be fruitful in the end...with an epic IMC

gotta thank clepto for teaching me the last one, he knows his stuff!

for valids just use highest multi & forget about BCLK

I'm in the same boat haha, before it was possible to maybe rank high in 32m and win the Sandra section for an overall FTW, but now with these multiple sub 7m runs it's gonna be tough.

Especially since I'm running out of time and am not sure if I'll have $$ for another DICE run

I wasted a lot of LN2 trying to figure this thing out, but it was a disaster. I already knew abut the VTT issues, but wasn't expecting it to freeze in windows as soon as I dropped the temps. THe classy also has that -50 cold bug, which is a big pain to deal with, but atleast on the 920, after i'm in windows it's ok.
That CBB I got with the Classy only happened that one time, I never got it again after that...strange.

Are there any spots for temp sensors on the Classy? I swear the box came with like a bag of sensors, but I don't see anywhere to plug them in on the board and the manual doesn't say anything either.

well that certainly looks good for me, at 300 bus clock one of the RAM multipliers available is x3.33 which translates directly into 1000Mhz
I could compare the results with this at 1000 4-4-3 or so vs my Corsair Dominators kit at 1200 5-5-5 (x4 multi), it seems perfect

thanks wumpus but unfortunatly I only have 4 diffrent imc multis so I guess im just gunna hope for the best. Foxconn katana gti is a good cheap board but the bios options really reflect the price on this one.

Well results may vary, you should be able to do about 1000 4-4-4 though depending on the rev. die used.

My STT kit is a really high bin as they were the replacement for D9GKX on that model

I'm hoping for decent results, I wish I had some D9s though, they're not really hard to find but just not available right away

was talking like trying all the diff QPI ratios with each DRAm multi, there will be one that will completely own for BCLK

8x on ram and 16x on QPI allowed me to hit 280BCLK, while if I had used 6x ram and 16x QPI the BCLK wont even do 220...it does require some testing though.

and trust me i know your pain with the katana, Biostar TTA890FXE feels the same way...
