Its rare that I have to add any acetone after the initial amount.

Did you add anything to the inside of the pot to add more mass? I don't think you ever showed us any pics of it.
No camera, so no pics, sorry

I used a piece of 2" x 2" copper round bar and used a drill press to drill out some holes in the center. I turned it on a lay and made a small lip on the top of it so that I could sodder on a 7" long copper pipe. It's nothing special, but it will get the job done until I can have a proper one made.

Well, that doesn't sound bad at all. It should do pretty well. I started making one with just 2" copper pipe and then a cap. I never used it since I bought found the F1 dragon on ebay.

mike is right about the acetone, you need very little because when you put in the DICE, it takes up space raising the level of the acetone in the pot. so very little with no DICE is plenty when you got some in there

good luck tomorrow

Thanks. I'm happy with my 32m submission (I can't go higher b/c I hit a FSB wall), but my memory submissions definitely need some work.

indeed they do...and your IMC should still be OK at -70C to run ram at fast speeds. the IMC on my 555 couldnt boot 1800 ram for its life at -190 but it worked fine at around -65...

You didnt have much more than 100 Mhz on DICE with that CPU on cores/nb anyway.

Looks like your 1055T is a gem and 380 HTT benchable is impressive

all CPU refs....makin me mad lol

you still have a pretty good chance....took me 600FSB to match your 520 on that mobo, purely because this one has a really really loose NB

cant wait to see what you got!

EDIT: plus your D9's are better than mine
unless your pumpin over 2.5v then maybe not
Im saying nothin!!

nah, actually they were needing 2.3 - 2.4vddr to run 624Mhz @ 5-4-4 on that 5:6 divider with the e8400, but using exact same settings with the e8600 apart from the slight increase on the multi and vcore gives constant bsods under load and 'not convergant in square' with spi32m

Even a bump in nb doesnt help.
I guess these sticks are starting to degrade now though, they were my first ever set of D9 and have worked flawlessly, never needing 2.5v for 650Mhz+.
But now theyre starting to struggle around 630Mhz and with this chip need more vddr to get those 5-4-4 timings

I Got some slight improvements last night, nothing special though, will upload later

5-4-4 will do that. Lax to 5-5-5 and there are your 650 Mhz again
