Hmm Sandra is weird with memory/cores
1100T @ 2 cores, uncore @ 3.3, DDR3-1900 6-6-6-17 @ 3:10 and tuned secondary subs, 17 GB/s 49ns latency
1100T @ 6 cores, uncore @ 3.0, DDR3-1600 6-6-6-18 @ 1:4 and loose secondary subs, 17.3 GB/s 55ns latency

5600+ @ 2 cores, SuperTalent DDR3-800 4-4-3-8 @ 1040 4-4-3-5 and tuned secondary subs I believe was something like 15GB/s...old version of sandra, 2009...long time ago and I wasn't even in high school at the time

at 2 cores, bandwidth had a lot to do with core speed, as if it was a CPU limited test...I guess I oughta run the same test at 3:10 again since 3:10 is more efficient but my uncore/CPUNB will not do more than 3.15 at 6 cores...I've gotta figure this one out

Even at 3.0-3.1 uncore/cpunb I should be able to get well up into the 18-19 GB/s range. I'm not gonna run superpi just yet, but I do have a sub 15 minute run on this CPU with XP...bad thing is, it's getting considerably hotter here in ohio. This vista install has 79 processes running and it's way too dirty for 32M...32M crashes on average 50 Mhz lower CPU and ram on this install vs XP install

Thanks guys, got some good insight from these 3 posts.

Sadly, I have to take a break for the next week until the 17th. I've got a 10 page research paper due tomorrow on top of a 5 page argument paper and THEN my in class essay final on top of that...when I turn it in
Then my math final Thurs, then my chem final Mon
All while trying to do full time training for my job

Good news is I got some solid results so far, really looking forward to DICE and I think there is room for great improvement there.

I hope my dual channel handicap doesn't hold me back too far...

Thanks to El Gappo inviting me over from XS. Hai dere guys! I know some of you

Ah, I got nervous when I saw BeepBeep was the last post in the thread...I knew there would be some serious competition...I'm relieved you'll be putting the heat on the AMD guys though

Good to see you joining the game.

Fl0w3n, fortunately your dual channel won't be a handicap as it's also a rule for this competition. It's to keep things fair between 1366 and 1156.

It also means I'm going to stop mid session, break down all of my insulation, take a stick out, reinsulate, and hope things are still stable where I left off...

Such is life. I'm in finals right now which is why I haven't posted any results. I'm done Monday, though.

Oh, we're competing directly with 1156? So the 5 categories are (1) Intel DDR3 (1155), (2) Intel DDR2 (S775), (3) Intel DDR3 (1156, 1366), (4) AMD DDR2, (5) AMD DDR3 ? Ah, well that makes sense...for some reason I just assumed each socket was it's own category.

You're going to use 3 sticks for 32m, and 2 sticks for Latency/Bandwidth?

Well, I'll see you Monday then when things will get interesting

Yeah you're competing directly with 1156, so you 1366 guys have to use dual channel ram for everything to make it fair.

Oh I mistook it as dual channel was the lower limit, not the upper limit lol

Got it!

Are you using the phase of final submissions here, or will you pull out the DICE?

More than anything, I've been using the phase to get some practice and find the limits of my RAM so I don't spend hours and hours trying to figure it all out when I'm running out of dice.

It's not going well though... This is freaking time consuming lol.

Yeah, that's basically what I wanted to do too, except I've only got water.

Man, tell me about it I need to work on sub timings next week with a little more attention to detail. When I tried working on them before, the slightest budge would cause errors in 32m. I'm hoping I can get past that...I'm sure there is a lot of time to be had in those sub timings.

Oh and how are you liking those GT's over your STT kit?
