Ouch! That chipped served a tough ass life, and finally succumbed to the big one!

I've done 1950 6-6-5 18 at 1.7V, I'm gonna try 2000 with dual channel on the 990x but won't be giving these sticks too much more voltage...
These stories make me feel more confident about the toughness of my system...however I'll try to avoid adding any of my own

That's pretty impressive already

My best on my PSC is probably 2134 7-10-7 @ 1.72 ish Vdimm. I'd almost feel comfortable running that 24/7

Here's my first Pi submission. Efficiency seems off because of dual channel but I ran it in triple too and it's spot on for a pretty decent run

Been playing around with triple and got as low as this without wazza (still have no idea how to do that...):

(Note the SS directly above is not a valid submission)

Hopefully once I get off phase and onto dice I can get a 5.5GHz+ submission...
How are you seeing scaling in 32m in regard to core clocks?

Give it volts! Slack Cas Latency to a higher number to see what you can get the Mhz to, then step it back down to what ever it can handle.

Quite well. Efficiency is hovering around ~34.5 (5.303*6.55391) for triple and ~37 (5.257*7.02390) for dual. I do still need to work on that efficiency though, but unless I get a good wazza I think the only way to improve it will be more uncore which will hopefully come with lower temperatures.

It depends on where you're comfortable. With AMD you don't really have to worry about killing the chip since it doesn't have the artificial IMC limit that Intel chips have so you're really only held back by memory volts. I wouldn't go much over 1.9V unless you accept the fact that you are approaching the benching limits of your memory. Different ICs have different voltage tolerances though. I'd keep adding voltage if the memory keeps scaling until you get to your limit.

Well im at 1.94v right now @ 2160Mhz 10-11-10-24-27-1T going to try to bench real quick. Im not worried about killing this mem its not great mem to begin with.

Hmm, didn't know that's how you calculate efficiency...lol. By that method, roughly 4.7*7.42 gives me ~35...but what's that number mean, and how do I use it to project my scores for higher clocks lol.
I'm worried about uncore as well, I still haven't figured out how to get past exactly double DDR. I'm hoping for cold to help too.

I said it earlier in the thread, but I'm not sure if it's 100% correct...but I think it's safe to assume that socket am3 chips can handle a decent amount of vdimm because they have a ddr2/ddr3 IMC. ddr2 is usually ~ 2.1v, and I'm sure the ddr2 IMC can handle some over clocked ddr2 so...with that being said I would imagine up to 2.1v to the dimm's would be fine with the IMC. Whether or not that is fine with the dimm's is up to you to find out

Do some quick browsing in the AMD section and see if you can get an answer to whether I'm right in my theory...and then give it 2.1v

When I had my am3 setup I think I pushed 2.0v, but I really don't remember because it was a while ago

Keep your efficiency constant and divide it by your projected clocks and it should give you the time.

Dunno about the uncore. I just checked all of my submissions with that chip and they're all at 2x memory.
