However, with the 970 it didn't work out that way. I'd boot above -50 and as soon as it gets around -60 to -65 it would lock up.

Cranking the VTT can make the CBB worse, memory overclocking will bring out the CBB pretty quick if there is one.
You gotta be kidding me...lol my first time and Im already dealing with cbb? Does that mean I made a good pot

I forgot to turn Extreme cooling mode on ! Hopefully that will help

I really only thought to take one CPU-Z of 2040 6-6-6 and it somehow corrupted

It didn't even crash? I dunno... I was playing around with it but the sticks didn't seem to like it too much.... though nothing liked anything today.

those extreme cooling do nothing for me. I've tried all the settings and nothing helps. But, same thing happened to me my first time. After using the SS, I was able to get better results with dice since i had a good idea of what i was doing. The 970 on dice was pretty bad but on LN2 it was a disaster. With the SS, I was able to get decent results and 32m at nearly 5.4ghz. The only problem is that it doesn't like VTT and as a result i have to run slow ram.

That efficiency sucked in my book. Was using a daily OS with a couple stuff disabled and wasn't really trying on the RAM. I just set 26x multi and hoped for the best.

My friend's board died yesterday during the night. If he can revive it he's going to let me borrow it so I can work on Memory bandwidth and latency.
Is that the GD70 that died? Did the VRM's go by any chance?

Efficiency wasnt all that great but I like the bandwidth number you put up Nice for those clocks.

I wound up having to boot like 4.2ghz and now I'm doing all the owing via e-leet in windows.

Not sure what it was. Just doesn't boot. Could be VRM's.

Thanks man, still gotta work it. Not sure if my modules will get close to yours, but I can try.

Also, horrible timings.

Man this has been a pita all day, I've gone through at least 5 lbs of DICE just figuring **** out.
I'm finally just now doing my 3rd 32m run of the day. Still haven't broken 5ghz. It just won't do it.
