Tightening up those mem timings is what will yield the best gains and with the current score board 4.8Ghz should be plenty with the right ram setup

Only problem is when those sandbaggers do decide to come out of the shadows we could be looking at needing 5.2 - 5.5Ghz with a Wolfy

Am I complety wrong and thinking of somthing entirely diferent, or did you have those Black Dragons running well above 600Mhz in one of the last compos???

Suicide these ram did over 1200mhz.. not 32mil stable or 3D stable beyond 1180 though with any volts [+loose timings]. This Gigabut board runs PL10 a lot tighter than my Asus/DFI ..so they are hitting their latency limits sooner Im afraid. I can run ~585mhz for 2D with these as max..so 5.5ghz is still within range if needed

I dont have other RAM to compete with..so waza and core speed are whats keeping me in the runnings.

With 775, you either have to court it for 6 months or hold a gun to its head. You don't get to choose either, the board will decide that for you.
sounds...fun

Arg, to think I gave my friend a p45-t2rs and e8500 and it just sits there doing daily stuff and occasional WoW...

I still haven't gotten Wazza to work

I also still get an error message from benchtek about a missing file when I apply tweaks, and it doesn't self close... but improves my times so idk.

I need to work on wazza myself. I haven't been able to get any improvements from trying it. I did manage to run the 920 today. Here are today's results with the SS. Need money to fill my dewar.

Nice results. I'm going to have to steal that BIOS, just noticed mines a super old one. What's your SS hold at again?

At least I'm seeing what I'm up against, your 7m 13 and Bass's 7m 2.

I need to lap my pot, get more ceramique, and then more DICE and get another session going. I need to figure out how to push past 5ghz, and get my uncore up there as my speed was pretty weak for my submission. I think I can drop my 6-9-6 to 6-8-6 too, and work on sub timings.

I've already got the desire to go colder though...I want LN2 I want to see a frosty ass setup

Oh and if you don't mind, share any progress you make with wazza...I know a few of us are having troubles with it.

I got 4.3GHz out of my P925 with hardly any tweaking last night with this budget board:
