Looks good except for the Logisys psu you have there. I'd go for a smaller wattage antec or seasonic unit as they will be more efficent under small loads and also more reliable in the long run.

  • Get the Biostar A880G + x2 250 in combo for only $101 (or combo with x2 260 for just $110)
  • This Team 1600Mhz RAM is better for the same price, and has free flash drive (use it for Windows installation?)
  • Since this is more of a basic build, if you are not concerned on expandability (i.e. adding a video card), I highly recommend small form factor. It is smaller and can actually cost less, and will still fit the parts inside. I recommend this Pixxo case for $27 + $10 shipping. The PSU in this is pretty good, I know a few who have run low profile GTS 450s with it (though I don't recommend it myself). Logisys PSUs are also never a good choice.
  • Get the Samsung F3 1TB. It is a better HDD; it is faster, and offers twice the HDD space, for a full $5 less. For 500GB you should never spend that much.
  • Here's a slightly cheaper DVD drive ($21 shipped, LG, also 24X, I own two and they're great)

Hey thanks a bunch guys!

As for power supply, I was definitely slow to add the logisys, Just wanted to keep it cheap :-/

I'm definitely going with that cpu/mobo combo but I will however stick with the g.skill ram. I'm just not up to trust " Team Xtreem" hehe. I'll also grab the hard drive. I am a bit bias toward western digital but I'll give samsung a shot.

Will also add that dvd drive.

Thanks

EDIT: I'm also leaning towards that case.

It's unfair to judge RAM by brand, since they all offer lifetime warranties anyway and don't work much differently
If you have to absolutely stay with G.Skill, don't get that kit as 1333 CL8 is never an optimal price-performance-overclockability choice; get this kit. Better yet get this kit which is on sale for a great price!!
