Yes, it does this to both cards. I am also having problem with GPU power usage. Sometimes, one of GPU core will never clock to 750 core(default). I watched MSI afterburner and one of GPU core will stay at 507 no matter what I do. If I reboot, sometimes they utilize both of GPU 99% and core clock to 750.

Well I'm having alot of issues with both my 4870x2 as well (testing individually). Not giving up yet, still have to completely rule out software issues but I'm having trouble getting working drivers installed. The installing new hardware dialog identifies the 4870x2's and says these devices are ready for use, but they never show working correctly in Device Manager (Yellow Exclamation -This device cannot start). Have uninstalled Catalyst's several times and tried 10.10 -> 11.3.

Not sure what this is related too (possible more sensitive to my overclock? or maybe using DVI->HDMI adapter) but alot of times there will be no video displayed at all. Win7 will boot and I can hear the startup sounds but with absolutely no video output.

Again the most puzzling thing is that both these cards are behaving the same way.

I'm ruling out my PSU, if it can handle two 5870's it should be able to handle a single 4870x2. I don't want to make drastic changes to my Sig rig, I was hoping it would be a simple swap and test, but this is wasting too much of my time. I'm going to hold off a week before I decided to return to TD or RMA- I have another 1000w PSU coming in the mail, going to finish building another rig and test it in there.

I am sure it's not a PSU problem. I am actually surprised that not too many people ordered these refurbs in OCN lol
