No, I wasn't offended but just confused as to why form is more important than function. This thing could be the ugliest thing on the planet, but I'd still like it because there's no other mouse that is as functional for me as this one. The placement of those side buttons was an ingenious design, and I wish there was a new version of it.

Plus, its shape fits my hand better than any other mouse that I have ever tried.

Ah, I see. I was comparing the look of it to the other one which was linked, and I usually take appearance into account, even though I know it doesn't matter. I guess I'll take a look into this mouse

I like it so much that I'm considering buying about 5-10 more so that I always have a back-up in case my current one dies now that I know that it may be completely extinct in a couple of years.

I mean, I really don't like anything that's on the market right now.

Hmm, seems pretty good... I'll have to compare this to the Intellimouse. It's only a couple of pounds over budget, which is fine

Haha, fair enough If you like it that much, then it seems like a good plan... but what if you find another one you like even more? I mean, there's always a chance of it.

i would go intelli over wmo its the same but it have 2 extra buttons, for gaming that is just great, i regret going wmo.
on a side note my wmo's switches are way too sensitive even the middle click wich makes my life hell. but the sensor is really good which is probably why most people pick these.

if u want something more gaming oriented the a4tech x7 line is quite decent and cheap.

The only way I'd ever find a mouse that I like more than the Intellimouse Optical is if Microsoft made a new version of the Intellimouse Optical with the exact same design, but perhaps with a superior optical technology.

Plus, the options in the driver just make me really happy - especially the Accelerated Scrolling option and adjustments.

I got it with a rebate $6, so it ended up being $8.

$15 is roughly £10, right?
