Uh oh...BIOS update - Page 3

SilentStray, a reccomendation, that PSU has only 16A on 12V line. Probably the PSU was failing while you flashed, and it induced errors on the RAM or CPU(Ripple, spikes, etc...).

If you get another MOBO, please use that PSU as your paperweight. That thing will blow up as soon as you put your 4670 under load, or your 555 under stress. I don't see why you bought a 20$ PSU for a system with that power requirements.

Highly unlikely. M-Flash just sucks and is risky, plain and simple as that.

I do plan on upgrading that power supply though, it was the only extra i had on hand. If this was your build and you had a $50 budget for a power supply which from this list would you get?

Also, do you think NewEgg will do a replace RMA for this reason? I put in an RMA request and it was accepted automatically. I'll be sending it through UPS tomorrow.

Yes, Newegg will replace it. My motherboard had the same problems as yours. Newegg doesn't really check the board, they just check if everything is there.

Cool, thanks, that was my biggest worry. I've only done 4 builds and this is my first RMA.

For future reference, if you call Newegg they can set you up an advanced RMA for no rig downtime! Advanced RMA can't be done with email, live chat, or the auto generated RMA thing. Unlike some other places, Newegg doesn't even charge you for it, unless they don't receive the faulty product within 30 days.
