Upgrading from crossfire 5770 to 6950

Hey everyone.

I'm thinking of upgrading my 2 5770's to a 6950 and hopefully upgrade the bios.
This card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127555 caught my attention. What do you think?

It's a reference design... I really can't endorse reference 6900 series cards because of the noise-level (The same goes for GTX 470/480/580/590 ) I approve of the idea of going for a HD6950, it should be a nice upgrade in terms of performance and compatibility... No worries about x-fire support/scaling However, I would opt for a non-reference design due to my dislike of the reference turbine style. That said, if you do opt for a reference card, it really just comes down to your brand preference, warranty duration, price, etc. It's hard to go TOO wrong when picking one out.

You should consider spending the extra ca$h for the MSI R6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition Runs cooler, a bit more quiet, OC'able, and have the dual bios. Here are a couple of reviews...

Thanks for the info and the heads up about noise level. I'm not too worried about the noise level too much since I usally play my games kind of loud at least sometimes. I'll look into that other car, drBlahMan, I've noticed a lot of hits in googles search about that card, but haven't read up on it personally.

Keep with that crossfire. 6950 has the same performance than 5870/5770cf
