Nehelm processors are 45nm, the 2nd gen is 32nm. The sandybridge processors overclock a lot higher and at cooler temps as well.
It's basically a revised model with a few changes, but essentially the same architecture.
Very wrong sir. Very different architecture. Enough to the point where a 2600K (Second Generation i7 Quad Core) matches a 980X (First Generation Enthusiast i7 Hex Core)
The second generation i7s are very much more powerful than the first generation. To the point where it's pointless to buy the old generation, or any processor otherwise for that matter, due to how it's priced compared to the other processors and such.Edited by Imglidinhere - 4/22/11 at 10:08pm
