nvm, you guys are all right. CPU-Z is NOT showing the updated cpu speed, but Prime95 shows 4500.08mhz.... Thanks munaim1, i'm downloading the latest cpu-z.

One more question, do those OC settings look good to you guys? Should I change anything?

When you load prime95 does your CPU go up to 3.4ghz the stock speed? and when running prime95 you want to select "In place FFTs"

when i load up prime95, the stock clock speed (3.4ghz) goes up to 4.5ghz on real temp but on CPU-Z(having't donwloaded the newer version yet) it still stays the same.

And i took your advice and selected "in place ffts"

There ya go mate, the only problem was you didn't know how to see your actual clock speed and chuck your mobos driver CD in and install the drivers and the utility you can set OC profiles fan profiles and much more also you can use your bluetooth.

thanks Gawdz, you've been a big help. +1 rep for everyone in here thank you all.

A few other questions I have so I don't make another thread... but are my temperature readings normal? I hit 76 C on one core but average was around 70C on full load. Shouldn't I be around 60C? Ambient temperatures were around 78F.

Go HERE to download all you motherboard needs, these are more than likely the updated versions.

Here is a latest version of realtemp HERE temps should be more accurate Btw those temps are awesome, but try it out with the updated version. I personally keep my temps below 70. Some say to keep it below 75 is really really good.

Your on the right track, keep it going and good luck

You know what, I had the very same exact problem with my 2500K.

Nothing would show the correct spd, and even the latest version of Finalwire does not report the right cpu spd properly.
Didnt matter what settings I used, nada..

Downloaded the up to date CPUZ and finally could see what was going on!

^ thanks for chiming in you guys. Munaime, I checked out that link with the mobo drivers and I believe those versions on the same as on the disk I received with my board but thanks and I will download that version of CPU-Z, the one the other guy listed won't even the cpu's clock speeds... weird. And I would love to have my temps under 70C as well but if you say that my temps are good as they are then that's great to hear... I used the stock TIM that came with the megahalem but I think i'll try some shin etsu next.

Satan_Hells, thanks man. I'll check out the latest CPU-Z. +1 rep for yall.

I ran prime95 for almost 8 hours and there has been 0 problems... Should I run it longer?
