1090t fast enough for 3way sli (gtx570) - Page 4

5670x1080 is 6 million pixels. no bottleneck here.

Regardless of brand, they still went boom with reference hardware, which usually has higher quality components than most non-reference cards.
The GTX570 beats the HD6970? In a certain game or resolution perhaps, but the HD6970 is otherwise superior in price, performance, heat, and power consumption. Pffft, my 560 Ti hardly keeps up with a HD6950.
MSI makes the "Lightning" not because of just to keep up,but to put a super OC capable card to compete with other brands.
Nvidia fanboys gonna fanboy.
lolwut?

Bold claims? I see
Allow me to clarify

when you say certain games and certain resolutions, how about every game and every res except 2560? there I will concede there is a vram limitation

Also, if it wasn't for those enhancements:

http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/M...zr_III/26.html
http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/M...htning/26.html

same review source, different cards.
As you can see it takes alot of enhancements (read 16 vrms) to take down the meek 570. otherwise, I believe they are left, how shall we say... in the dust?

oh my, fan boys gonna fan boy I see. No all I see here is my analysis of your logical fallacies and lack of evidence to support your claims.

to put it simply after multiple retorts in which you have constantly attacked me and provided no way to actually break down my arguements and my evidence I can conclude that you:

tri-sli will basically utilize all the CPU power you can throw at it, and of course when it comes to gaming it's single core performance that's king. The 2600k is by far the best choice right now for a high end gaming CPU. Phenom II cores are outdated at this point and if you want to go AMD, bulldozer is around the corner.

edit: the non-ref 570 suggestion is a good one, especially as tri-sli can get quite hot.
yeah but ive heard from a friend that owns a pc store that bulldozer will be a bit slower than sandy bridge all be it he's assuming that but he's usually right
so i think i7 2600k is the way to go!!!

Again your obvious fanboyism bashing (your current avatar makes you a fanboy as well) aside, the GTX570 performs worse in some things vs. the HD6970. http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/306?vs=292

Yeah cause your friend heard from his friend who heard from another friend that BD is slower than SB.
Don't go assuming until BD hits shelves.

Also Op if I didn't clarify in my first post

No a 1090T will not be sufficient for tri sli, not should you attempt it. A 955 would be the cheapest option, then a sandy bridge rehaul and finally waiting for bull dozer. Up to you really.
do you think bulldozer will be any good i heard the truth is 15% yes
85% hell no!!!

Where is this 85% no to 15% yes calculation,I can't seem to find it.
Don't mind your local fanboy (as usual) PC store owner, not even they know whether BD is fast or not.

Those older Nvidia boards aren't good for core unlocking,if they can perform core unlocks at all.

well then do you have any proof of actual speeds and in game performance?

and if i cant unlock with the board i got i am not going to get a new one to try what might not even work ill keep the nvidia board i got if bulldozer when it comes out is any good and i still got this board and theres a bios update that allows me upgrade ill get it other wise ill just keep the sandy bridge wich im going to get any way and wait till ivey bridge comes and maybee upgrade to it later.
