Haha,I wish. Why want info on BD when you plan to upgrade with a sandy bridge anyway?

because i heard that bd will be supported by am3 boards with a bios update
but i just found out that is not the case no bd for am3 boards and sandy bridge is just so fast so it would be perfect sence to go that path if i have to get a new board for bd i may as well upgrade now rather then wait for bd!!!

You can ignore him, he bought his 1090T right before Sandy Bridge came out and now he's filled with remorse.

the ones that want it im not biased either way i just want the fastest cpu for my $ thats not wrong is it if it is then i must be wrong ive had a lot of amd chips in the past and also intel and they both can make a good chip !!!

It was never confirmed nor denied that AM3+ would work in AM3 motherboards, until AMD straightens it out, no one knows for sure.
Upgrade if you like, but right now is a better time to wait for Bulldozer and Ivy Bridge, both are going to have new motherboards and chipsets. Your Phenom II X2 should have no problems playing games at decent settings.

Cool story fanboy who is blanketing facts with their thread crapping/trolling/bashing as usual.

It happens to the best of us.

JF and AMD have stated multiple times on multiple forums that AMD will not support bulldozer in AM3 socket boards.

He's the server guy,you cannot base the issue all on his statement.
Asus and others have worked around the "AM3+ doesn't work in AM3" bs,AMD can't control that.

Actually you can, and no you're right about that, AMD can't hold you down.

I never said it didn't work, and neither did JF.

He and I both said it wasn't supported.

I've yet to see the results of bulldozer in AM3 vs AM3+, we'll have to see if any functionality is lost.

Carry on.
