Upgrade if you like, but right now is a better time to wait for Bulldozer and Ivy Bridge, both are going to have new motherboards and chipsets. Your Phenom II X2 should have no problems playing games at decent settings.

yes but i want to play on ultra settings thats why i was gonna go for the 1090t
but if its not faster enough for what i want to do then scrap that!!!
ill give the x2 555 to my girlfreind she will love it!!!yessir.gif

Actually you can, and no you're right about that, AMD can't hold you down.

I never said it didn't work, and neither did JF.

He and I both said it wasn't supported.

I've yet to see the results of bulldozer in AM3 vs AM3+, we'll have to see if any functionality is lost.

Carry on.
How do you know that JF gets all of the latest info,he's the server guy after all.
Exactly. You don't.

Uhm...
Even with a X6 1090T,your frame rates will still suck with that integrated 8300GT.

ya got no idea!!!

Orly now.
You don't even have a dedicated GPU,and you're jumping to conclusions that a PHII X2 can't play a game, and assuming BD will be slower. Not biased? Ok then...

Asus and others have worked around the "AM3+ doesn't work in AM3" bs,AMD can't control that.

Wow,I knew it,Intel biased *cough* fanboy *cough* the whole time.

Unless your loaded with cash, or really that OCD, stick with a 1090t. I highly doubt you'd even notice the difference man. And Bottleneck wise, I heard its almost impossible to bottleneck any modern GPU ( i may be wrong). Don't waste too much money and too much time for something that;ll only make a little difference.

Agreed, you won't see any noticeable bottleneck from a modern quad core CPU.

Of course it will be fast enough, Just make sure to increase your HT Link speed to around 2600MHz It will help with SLI/Crossfire configuration's with data comunication speed's

You have no extra graphics card?
A 1090T should handle SLI decently, though it was made for Crossfire with AMD Radeon cards. Intel CPU's have wider bandwidth, and are of course faster wth SLI.
