A 1090T should handle SLI decently, though it was made for Crossfire with AMD Radeon cards. Intel CPU's have wider bandwidth, and are of course faster wth SLI.

well thats the problem i like nvidia gpu"s so if intel works better with sli i guess ill have to get the intel chip but amd is cheaper wich is i why i was hoping to get away with a amd x6 but ill have to wait and see ill have my 1st gtx 570 on wenseday!!!yessir.gif

Is my 1090T faster than sandy bridge? No Sandy Bridge is the best out there at the moment.

Does it do as well in benchmarks with my 6990? No

Can i notice any difference what so ever between the two chips in gaming always getting over 60fps? No

If your buying a new system, right now, the only choice is Sandy Bridge, it IS quicker, but even if the 1090T is bottlenecked with the card you want you wont notice a difference - You just get e-peen extensions smile.gif

If you wanna sit there benchmarking, watching if your cards are at 100% rather than playing games, go with Sandy Bridge, the 1090T is no slouch however.

As long as the motherboard supports it, its fine

Exactly, the 1090T isnt as good, fast, sexy, bragging rights available over the Sandy bridge, BUT will you notice a difference that you can actually see? No

There is no harm going either way,you can always sell the parts.

I'd say a single GTX570 would bottleneck your dual core,or any dual core for that matter.
AMD GPU's are actually top notch and have been since the last gen of cards.
I only have a GTX560 Ti because a HD6970 with a non-reference cooler is more $$$.
