i know i was premature about posting this before asking for solid proof but i just could not ask everyone else if this can be achievable, although i know deep in my heart that its not

not physically impossible for the CPU to hit that speed on air, even with over 2v. He was either on Ln2 of flat lying.

Thats really hard to believe I was just playing with my 980x I have it at
4.4ghz 35c low and 73c peak and I got the multiplier on 31
and BCLK at 143mhz and CPU voltage at 1.41
But if that is true then that's really crazy and.... I want one smile.gif

Did you sell it with the stock cooler? Just curious because ditching the stock cooler for 212 which doesn't really perform any any better would make this even funnier.

For reference I use a 212 on my i3 rig and CPU idle alone is like 32c at 1.4v and 4.35ghz. Thats way lower than the voltage needed for 6 ghz on a 980 and 1/3 the cores.
