I would believe it if I saw a video of him running prime/IBT and then showing his aircooled 980x and the cpuz/hwmonitor

its got photoshop written all over it.

I don't even have any photoshop skills, just did this in paint, look how amazing this looks, took me less than 15mins to do, and I nearly broke the hwbot records:

This is my actual super pi:

SEE THE SIMILARITIES????

Tell him to post some real validations and a screenshot of realtemp or coretemp

i said this ealier but theres a motive for every lie. but what is his real motive? to prove to me that his cpu that he bought for me overclocks like crazy for bragging rights? i already told him i needed the money rather than a fast cpu so i know hes not trying to sell it back to me. so i dont know why he would lie.

however, im not saying i believe this neither but i cant say i dont want this to be true.

Yeah these i5 are very nice!
I o.c. a 2400 to 8GB!
The temps were about -25°C on the northpole.
If the guy really was able to do 6+GHz with that low temps why didn`t he get to 7 or eiht?

The only way i can see this being possible is if he has gotten his ambient down extremely low with a few air conditioners in a nice cold room!

Otherwise i can't say i believe this until i see some sort of proof to be honest.
