im with you on that one mine cant go above 4.5ghz without temps been in the 85c to 93c load on LinX and at that temp it started to downclock and this was on a Noctua D14 so there is no way a coolmaster Hyper 212 pulling off 5.5ghz+

Is it normal for the VCore not to be displayed in CPU-Z shots of the 980x?

EDIT: I'd also agree with the above poster, not ever Sandys can get to 6.4GHz on air. Not to mention stay below 80c.

EDIT EDIT: It's also possible CPU-Z is false reporting due to it being flash drive'd over and not installed. Look at the 5GHz link in my sig's voltage, that was supposed to be 1.536VCore, not 1.036.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Another thing to note is that this guy turned off HT, look at the pic, 6 cores 6 threads.

Anybody stopped to think akajoshx1 is just trolling you and made the story up for the sake of seeing OCN's reactions?

Not one part of it adds up.

The picture in the OP isn't proof of anything - I don't see CoreTemp or RealTemp.

Just a wild guess: 57 C at idle. Lol.
