Low Physics Score in 3dMark11 - Page 4

OC the GPU doesn't do much, in game it's like 3-5 FPS. Now if your pushing a benchmark to test higher it can do that a little. I had a gts 250 that would not OC. Your video card could have it's limitations. Now OCing the CPU, that will make a huge difference.

I'm just going to give up. I can't find anything to fix the problem. I'm going to change my memory to try and get a better overclock. If that doesn't work I'm just always going to have the evil red X I guess.

I had my CPU OC'd to 3.8ghz and it did boost my PhysX over 1000 points on the 3DMark11 score, it still does not compete my mid 7k score that my buddy got on his 920 OC'd to 3.6ghz and getting mid 8k score.

I also have 2gigs more of ram then him and like I have said, his scores are better.

Achillee5, I was running 4 sticks for 8gb took a stick out and my physics score improved to 7500 area. Still 1000 under my buddy.

It is running in tri channel though according to CPUID.

So it's in Dual Channel, so that's good!
And going by the Benchmark list in Aida64, it isn't running bad at all smile.gif

I really don't get why you are trying so hard to get a higher score, including replacing your memory, on a physics test from an artificial benchmark?

This isn't going to change your gaming experience much.
