Hi Guys,

I have finalized all the components of my new sandy bridge rig...... the processor ( i7 2600k ) and the GPUs ( Asus GTX 580 x 2 for SLI ) are bought,...

So now the matter is to choose the best Motherboard and PSU.....

I have selected them personally, they are....

Asus Maximus IV Extreme Mobo....
Corsair HX850 PSU ( not sure if it is right... )

I need you guys to confirm whether the given 2 components is good for my build........ also specially confirm the PSU..... as I am going to SLI, will HX850 be enough for it or not......

Thanks Guys,
Dev

They are good choices. You will be happy with that system! Maybe make room for an SSD it will really make your PC much more responsive!

a 6Gbp/s drive would be nice as your motherboard supports it!

Ok !!

Can you point out some 6 GB/s HDDs which will come within 100$ and will come with at least 1 TB Space..

No point to get a HDD supporting 6Gbp/s as it wonæt saturate the interface anyway. I meant an SSD!

If you just want a HDD the WD Black 1TB or Samsung Spinpoint are both good drives!

For how much did u buy i7 2600k & asus gtx580?
asus maximusIV extreme is the best sandy bridge mobo,
corsair hx850 is a great psu,awsome performence,
why havent u included a SSD on such a high end build?
Getting a SSD will increase your rig's performence by huge margin,

One thing he can do, unless he likes the pcie layout / needs the layout of the maximus iv extreme, is to downgrade to p67 pro and use the extra money to buy a 64gb or so ssd.

but seems like he has a ton of money, might as well get a samsung f3 1tb for 55 bucks and a ssd with that.
