Corsair Dominator or XMS3?

Hello!

This is my first post here! smile.gif

I'm building my gaming rig with the i5 2500k with a Gigabyte P67A-UD3R-B3 motherboard and I'm a little confused about choosing from the available memory options. I live in India, and the memory sticks I'm getting here are the Corsair XMS3 1600 MHz and the Corsair Dominator (CMP4GX3M2C1600C8). From the price point of view, the 4GB (2 X 2GB) XMS3 sticks are priced here at $62 and the 4GB (2 X 2GB) Dominator sticks are priced at $122.

Should I pay the extra bucks and buy the 4GB Dominator kit or should I pick up 8GB total of XMS3 with the extra money that I'm spending on the Dominators?

Thanks,
- Souptik82

I wouldnt suggest any of those ram,
get corsair vengeance, its a 1.5v ram & sandy bridge prefers lower voltage ram,
dominators & xms3 have 1.65v
u will get corsair vengeance ram in MD COMPUTERS in chandni chowk,

If you awant to save money go with xms3. If you don't mind spending the extra cash for the dominators go ahead. The dominators have better heat sinks to keep them cool when you over clock them. But if your not a big overclocker then the xms3s are perfect for you. I consider myself a mild overclocker and the xms series is more than enough for what I need. I am also a hardcore gamer so good luck to you.
