My First Overclocking - AMD PII X4 955BE

Hey there..

Before this I wasnt bother about overclocking after I got this rig since about 9 months ago ^^;;... I just thinking since I have these spec, why not try OC it lol

So what I just did is only change the multiplier from 16 (3.2 Ghz) to 18 (3.6 Ghz) everything is default... The ram timing I use 9-9-9-28 with 1.50v. The CPU cooler I used is CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus ^^

I did a 10min test with OCCT and the system is currently running about 2 hours now ...

I attached the result for each one that OCCT make, so what you guys think? you guys think I'm good with this setup... or should I up more? I'm quite happy with it so far

p/s didn attached 4th core since the attachment limit is 5 item ^^;;

You should be able to do more. Probably 3.8 to 3.9 easy. Those chips are great OC'ers.

Your temps are already pretty high at 60-61C after only 10 min. How is the airflow in the case?

Thanks for the respond guys

@Dikillet - I change the multiplier to x19 and now running at 3.8Ghz without changing other settings, still on default setting. Did another OCCT 10mins test and the temp are lower than before (55~58C).. I dont want to touch other than multiplier since im still new in this overclock thinggy lol..

@Richards - yeah.. hm... I got 2 intake (front and under) and 1 Exhaust (upper back - Thermaltake V3 BE blue fan).. It may be the wires are too cramped in there.. I will do clean up and wire management and see after that how it goes..

my room temp (ambient) is around 35C and my Idle after did 3.8Ghz is around 40~41C since it using 113w all the time (seems that CnQ auto-disabled after went over 3.6Ghz)
