dmz on my router? :(

Thread Starter
I got a new router (2-3 months ago) , it's dlink dir-601

Opening ports doesn't work. It just doesn't, I've seen like 10 guides (you don't actually need a guide it's very simple) But yeah it doesn't work.

So I tried enabling DMZ and that too doesn't work....? what the hell....

how can they release this product when half of the features don't work.

Any one know why it doesn't work?

There are a few things at play. That's not something that would just disappear completely in a bad firmware flash. Are you SURE that you are forwarding ports and DMZ to the right IP address?

Run an ipconfig on your computer and see if it's right.

To do this and have it work reliably, you will really want to set a static IP on the computer or DHCP reservation on the router and then forward it to that IP address
