YOU DO NOT WANT AN AMP FOR THE STX. It will simply not sound much better than the current amp on the STX. People have already tried stand alone amps with the STX and there was very little improvement. This has lead most people to believe that what's bottlenecking the sound on the STX is in fact the DAC. If you want to really notice a large difference, you're going to want to sell your STX, find a better DAC and get a better amp...or get a DAC/AMP combo.

So, if you don't want to upgrade the DAC then trust me, just stay with the amp already on the STX and save yourself some money. You won't notice too much of a difference.

The STX has been tested with multiple 450 dollar amps and even a 750 dollar corda amp.
the testing methodology better be with extremely low sensitivity headphones or else the comparisons are kinda flawed.

E7 with it is supposed to make it a killer set.
I own this Fiio combo. First amp and dac, but I like it alot. Using AKG K701, ATH-AD700, and ATH-m50

E7 uses the same wolfson chip as many more expensive DACs and the E9 has been really well received.

So op test it when your gaming by plugging it direct into the STX and switch in the svn option. the positional audio is awesome but you'll hear when you use the amp the footsteps will be almost to non existent which not so good

What? Please do a double blind test where you can accurately predict the better sound coming from 24 bit versus 16 bit.

You will not pass the test.
