You mentioned being a warhammer fan. Have you tried Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War II and the subsequent expansions / stand alones? Absolute blast, will push your processor, and pretty good implementation of the rules. Retribution would be the one to try now, it just came out as a stand alone Dawn of War II game to good reviews. Also the DOW2 / Chaos Rising pack goes on sale on steam every so often. I picked it up a few months ago before retribution and am still slaying Orks, Eldar, and Tyranids in both campaign and last stand.
How are the temps on the 1090 at 4 with that 212? Could consider a better cooling solution. Going underwater
could be a good project and will last you through more upgrades. Might hold off on putting the motherboard underwater and just upgrade to a 990fx board when they come out. nvidia reached an agreement with amd and sli should be officially supported on the 990fx boards.
tldr: Second 460, better cpu cooler, and Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War II
EDIT: rereading you already have sli 460s. keep those and wait for the amd 7xxx and nvidia 6xx for the process shrinks. The new amd cards might be here before bf3.
44c under full load, 22c aambient, yes I have Dow, and Dow 2 and all packs, however I have a 6000 point space marine army, they are good games that I play once and awhile, mostly last stand, as I perfer to play the real game, my 460s are doing good, and my cooler is ok for air and price, but I might go water later on, so, I didn't want to spend the price of a good air system, when I can get an h70 for 65 shiped, hmm, wanna play some last stand some time lol
