Thread Starter
H*LL YES I now have money enough for the q8300+Mobo ive been talking about for weeks now, and before i go diddly-doodley-doo walk into the store i gotta ask something first from you fine folks on here at overclock.net, can i use the same ram ive been using for 2 years now with the newer parts im going to assemble it with? Its a 2x2gb Kingston DDR2 800mhz ram. The new motherboard im gonna purchase supports ddr2 and ddr3 memory so basically, can i still use these old bad boys?

Domou Arigatou Ne!

Yes, there is no reason why it shouldn't.

Yeah, but it's 800mhz, not much headroom if you ever want to overclock.

If it supports both then yes.

Although if you plan on upgrading your CPU and Motherboard, you should look into other options. What your buying is relatively old Tech. I would hate to see you spend all that money on an outdated platform when you could spend it towards a newer platform.
