i5-2500/mobo build question

Thread Starter
Bout a week ago I made a thread about one of my builds but I decided to go with Intel. I've been posting at various well-known forums, and whenever I ask for a i5-2500 build and tell them I don't want to OC, every single response is throwing around i5-2500k's and expensive mobos when my budget is only around $750.

I'm not an enthusiast by any means. This machine is for 1080p gaming and Wii/Ps2 emulation. The current card produces good FPS for the games I'm wanting to play and the CPU is fantastic for emulation. But everywhere I've posted, I get the i5-2500k with an expensive mobo and crapping out on the GPU, which in my opinion is a waste since I'm not going to OC, I have absolutely no need and I feel like I'm wasting money. Btw I went with Intel over AMD because in the Pcsx2 benchmark thread, a stock 955 @ 3.2GHz pulls 47 FPS. A stock i5-2500k gets 70.

So is there anything wrong with the motherboard I chose? Does the build seem okay for what I'm wanting to do? From what I understand after watching videos and reading benchmarks, I'm getting 30+ fps in recent games on max, and 40-70 in Wii and Ps2 emulation. Smooth gameplay is all I want!

All looks good. The only thing I suggest is if you can squeeze a little more money, go for the H67 chipset instead. The H67 has many more features over the H61 which only suggest 2 memory slots, and other things I haven't researched into (more PCI-E buses, USB 3.0, SATA 6.) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...-296-_-Product
Great H67 board if you decide to go for it.
Also, if you really want to save some money, a i3-2100 will do good as well. It's only dual core, but most games run on 2 cores anyways. Unless you're doing some video editing, transcoding, etc then the i3 will do good. It also has Hyperthreading.

I think for your memory choice, you'd get better performance with this:
