Windows problems.

Thread Starter
Hello,
Well My windows is crashing after I updated it. I can't uninstall the update, It won't let me go into system recovery. I can do pretty much everything but fix the problem. Anyways, I just want to know if I back up ALL my C: (Array 1)to a separate RAID 0 array (Array 2) and install a fresh Window 7 in the messed Up array (Array 1) and then copy all C: from array 2 into the new fresh Windows, Can I still be able to run all my programs? Or will it fail?

I hope I made my question Clear. Lol

Thanks!

I know what you mean; I had similar difficulties expressing my interest in the same idea a few months back.

Really though, there'd be no point. The fault either lies with Windows, in which case you'll be copying the fault as well, or it doesn't, in which case reseting won't do you any good. Generally OS to OS program migrations don't work for lack of appropriate registry entries.

Best thing to do is backup essential files and data, stuff you really don't want to lose, then reinstall Windows.

One thing you might want to do is reinstall Windows, update everything, install your preferred programs, then create a system image so that next time things go bottoms up, you have a fresh, ready-to-use system image you can overwrite with.
