Help on making bootable XP disc

Thread Starter
I have all the files from a DVD of a windows XP disc, but a POS computer im trying to bring back to life doesn't have a DVD drive, only CD Drive. I used a laptop to get the files off the DVD, but im not sure on how to make the CD bootable. I burned the same files on to a regular cd, but the pc wouldnt boot. If it helps, the PC is a IBM with a P4 HT

That's not your only problem.

The other issue you'll have is your SATA drivers aren't going to be on the Windows XP cd. This means it's not going to see your hard drives.

The other problem, the F6 and adding the drivers doesn't work great. You need to use Nlite to splice the drivers into the install, this can also make the disk bootable

Um,

Why don't you just use the link and make a 650mb CD, it's windows XP I can't understand why you've got it on a DVD

It's saying NTLDR is missing because the setup can't see the USB disk.

Oh ok, I thought you were trying to put XP on your Sig rig...

Ignore that, but you can still use Nlite to make a bootable disk.
