Does WEI even take advantage of multigpu?

My GPU was 7.8 with a single 5850 and crossfire 5850

I don't think so tbh. I think it looks at your primary card only.

While it is 7.9 at the moment, MS is willing to move it up as more powerful HW becomes available. If and when it does don't expect your score to move up or down.

They're just going to allow for faster equipement. It's not really a hard peice of coding to increase it to say 10 but leave the mesurement system in place (so your current value won't change)

If you do not have an SSD, you are pretty much stuck with 5.8 and 5.9 for HDD scores.

not 100% true, RAID0 would yeild 7.2 results. RAID0 Samsung F3's will push around 300Mb/s or something stupid like that. My single drive averages 146Mb/s

It should theoretically push it up anyway. I would probably turn off speedstep, run the test and then see what I get.
