ECS 560 TI, has ECS overcome its... past?

Thread Starter
I am in the market for a couple of new GPU's and I may just wait until GTX 6 series comes out, considering the marginal step up from what I have to the GTX 560 sli, the VRM issues surrounding the GTX 570's and 590's(amoung other not so impressive reviews) and the wallet factor for a set of 580 for sli. I really could go for the 560's but I am not sure if that is a big enough step for $500.00.

But one thing I have noticed on the egg is that of the GTX 500 cards offered, ECS is in the group, with very little fanfare. I remember having endless problems back in the k7, k8 days and reading about other experiencing the same thing with ECS Motherboards. Even mentioning the ECS name around some of my computer buddies sends chills through their spines it seems. Has ECS improved since those dark days? I am not sure I would choose them over, say... ASUS, EVGA, MSI, Gigabyte, PNY or Sapphire.ECS must be holding up some kind of market share or at least maintaining a rolling revenue stream to still be in the manufacturing business have they turned what has happened in the past around or do they sale to people who dont know what google is and also have no friends who have had a negative experience with one of their products? There must be some type of quality product from ECS that is keeping them afloat.

What was the reason behind their issues back in the day? Poor components/poor manufacturing? Has that changed?

ECS GTX 560 - no reviews
ECS GTX 580 - no reviews
ECS GTX 570 - 2 Reviews, not really detailed
