EVGA GTX 480 SC's... Which PSU to buy? - Page 2

I'd go for a 1100W at the very bare skeleton minimum. You're gonna have three 300w video cards and a 100w CPU, at the very least. 1100 might just be enough, but you'll have zero overclocking headroom.

Silverstone Strider 1500 W.

Corsair AX1200 or the Silverstone Strider 1500w

They are the two best options.

like umm 5 12V+ rails and they are all rated to like 25amps.

My system peaks at 1530W from the wall for the desktop only (not the monitors).

I later plan to make that quad 480's and throw them underwater

Awesome system, but good god I'd hate to game in your room. That has to heat your room up something fierce

haha indeed

My solution was not only to put them under water, but to put my rads in the window with the fans blowing the air outside

So I guess the AX1200 it is. Thanks for the help guys. I really appreciate it. All I need to do now is figure out where to get some nice sleeping since doing these sleeves will be easy as they're fully modular. I might also look into buying a second set of cables so I can just sleeve the second set and leave the stock ones ....stock.

Excellent PSU choice!

Your post gave me the idea to look into getting a second set of cables for the same purpose. This post might help us both:

I'm actually going to send my request email shortly as well.
