Guys... I've just hit 4.8Ghz at 50C and it's stable with stock cooling...

Intel brought some fresh air with these new processor, but they still heat up a lot.
You seem to consider OC pretty seriously, so you should really consider getting an aftermarket cooler.

I've done a test, and being 200Mhz higher than the stock settings I get this result when rendering in 1080p a 10 minutes video (Sony Vegas Pro 10.1c):
Core Temp Avg:73C
Core V: 1.2V
Core Speed: 4.0Ghz
Time to render: 17 minutes
Regular settings:
Core Temp avg: 61C
Core V: 1.125V
Core Speed: 3.8Ghz
Time to render: 57 minutes
I'd consider getting a better cooler, but I don't know what to look for.

Edit: Just hit 5Ghz on CPU-z

at 40-50$, the xigmatek dark knight or scythe mugen 2 rev. b
