Refresh rate in video playback

Thread Starter
Well while using eyefinity I appear to have a slight problem with video playback. I can see the horizontal line moving up sometimes when the video is playing. I never really noticed it before till I looked closely and now I always notice it.

It only happens on the center monitor (all 3 are exact same model). Not sure if it is hardware/software related. To be honest I am not sure what the best way is to go about checking. Any ideas?

Might try flipping the monitors around and connecting them in a different order to test the monitor but thought you guys might have some suggestions as well.
Thanks!

Try changing which monitors are where, without moving them, just hooked them up different and see if it is still the same monitor.
I would also check your video settings to make sure you don't have something weird set. Try seeing what you can change for your refresh rate see if that helps.

No Luck yet, tried changing the active display port convertors connection to another port with on the GPU with no luck. Next I will set one of the non Active DP monitors to the center and see if the problem persists. Maybe I can at least rule out it being a monitor issue.

Edit: Well it is not an eyefinity issue as rearranging the monitor is Catalyst CC did not solve the issue. So It's either A. the monitor , B. the Active DP converter or C. My 6870 (which I doubt).

Well got it narrowed down to 6870 or Display port converter.

Wonder how I can test this one? I don't own another card and I doubt it is the card anyway. I guess my best bet is to contact powercooler and see if they can replace my cable .

so it isn't the monitor, it is always the monitor that is plugged into the display port?
I would see if you have a friend that has a displayport you could test it on.

Yeah. Either that or might see if the computer shop in town will let me drop by and just test it with one of their monitors. Seeing as I know it is not my monitors now. Which is definitely a relief!

Thanks again for the help/suggestions.

Edit: and yes it is always the monitor connected to the adapter.

Edit 2 : Just found out that power cooler won't even talk to me without the adapter serial number which oddly they don't put on the adapter so hopefully I have that small box laying around with the serial on it.
