If it's just PSU i will be happy. If it's mobo/chip i will not be so happy. even though i just need another 775 MOBO for my dual core laying here.

Keep the psu hooked up to some stuff then jump it with a paperclip.. But tbh I don't thank the sigma is any good.. The reviews I've read on there other units isn't great... But id give that a shot but due note if the psu is failing nothing good wilk come out of it.. So id keep crucial parts dced

You know to properly clear the bios, there must be no power sources at all whatsoever. That means unplug the psu from the motherboard (20/4 pin and 4/8 pin), remove the small battery for a minute. It's strange though, usually if it's a psu problem, it shouldn't turn on at all. Have you tried turning on the computer without a hard drive? You should at least get a post... (just an idea, if you haven't tried it yet...)

haha yeah, he is here and it's not booting. the other PSU isn't powering it on or having any reactions other than turning the green light on. The other PSU barely spun the vid card fan.

I've had this kind of problem before, many times actually... I can't recall how I fixed it, at the moment...

What kind of PSU did your bro bring? how many watts?

If you want, you can try to use BOTH of the PSU's to power the system, to test if other parts may be faulty, causing your system to not post. Use one psu to power the motherboard, and the other psu to power the video card, cd drive, hdd, and any other components that need to be powered.

EDIT: omg, double post...sry
