It would also be a letdown to not include an SSD with your high end system.
OCZ Vertex 3 120GB is the one to get at this time.
I read a lot about the DF series and I really like the case a lot. Thank you though.

Shouldn't I just get 8GB of the RipJaw 1600mhz instead of 1333mhz? As for an SSD I'm still waiting for the prices to drop a little, I do plan to add in a few later for Raid 5 once I can afford it.

Alright, So should I go with the older two rail PSU or the newer single 850W PSU

Thats a single rail. Your choice if you want to take that gamble. I wouldn't. And i'm sure more experienced users would back me up on this.

Well this is what my PSU says on newegg and the instruction booklet:" Over Current/Voltage/Power Protection, Under Voltage Protection and Short Circuit Protection provide complete component safety"

So I'll call you wrong about single rails not having OCP, if you got a crappy single rail PSU then yeah what you said would be correct.

It's a lot easier to overclock RAM to 1600mhz than it is tighten down timings.

7-7-7-21 will feel a lot faster than 9-9-9-24.

The real reason for less ram sticks, which people dont seem to be telling you, is that more sticks = more to process for the memory controller = more limited overclock.

in other words. if your stuff is connected to 1 rail, then it'll be likely that whatever is connected to the rail (everything) will go down with the psu

multi-rail, on the other hand, allows individual rails to shut down, so instead of having everything go down withthe psu, only w/e is connected to that specific failing rail will go down.

also, why not go for an ssd. skip raid 0 hdd, samsung's hdd got bought.

id buy 1 1tb for storage and a nice ssd for boot/games/programs.
