Thread Starter
hey OCN,

SO i just bought 2 yate loon 120mm fans for a push/pull set up and it drop my load temp by 10c during stress testing. So I am trying to go from 4.1ghz to around 4.2 ish. I was wondering what is the max vcore I should go to? So that it does not damage, I now 1.55 is recommended limit, but what is were it could cause real damage?

Thnx

Someone has theirs at 1.65 24/7 with a high overclock. I assume that's on water (I hope o.O) though. I wouldn't go higher than 1.6 on air, just make sure your temps are controlled.

What program are you reading the temp with? You're probably reading it wrong, keep in midn the X6's have a temperature reading error and you should add about 10ºC so you would be at 63ºC... Which means you are over the safe limit of 62ºC...

Lower the Vcore to 1.5v and stick to 4Ghz, but anything above 55ºC is bad for those chips.

im using CPUID Hardware monitor, and I am aware of the sensor error, I use the socket temperature to see the temp of my cpu
