I'm a bit confused as to what frequency you're currently running at though. In your title you state 3.8, in your post you state 3.6, but in your sig rig you state 4.0 o.O Either way, I really recommend lowering your voltage from 1.550, it is definitely not healthy for the long run regardless of temps :/
When I made the thread it was stable at 3.6 and 1.400Vcore, I'm sure I could get it lower but set it at 1.400 just to test, was going to drop down as needed.
Reason I asked if I should go past 3.8 in this thread is I'm a total noob, I know nothing about how much these chips can take for long term useage, Wasnt sure if 3.8 would fry it by the end of the week or if it would hold for 5+ years. Anyhow I set it at 3.8 and it was stable, I'm at 3.8Ghz now, no problems. as for the sig rig saying 4.0, when I set it there, it held prime the first time for 2 hours, so I took it as Stable, and changed my sig rig accordingly, As soon as I changed the sig rig to 4.0 instability's hit left and right, forgot to change the sig rig

Nice chip-don't worry abusing it,they can take it if you keep the volts under 1.6v.Often times you can get better results by raising your reference clock and lowering the cpu multiplier.Of course you have to adjust your NB,HTT and RAM too.

. Or I have 1 2 gig stick in each DIMM if you dont click. My mobo wouldnt recongnize the DRAM timings at 8-8-8-21, when I set it there manualy it was instable, Gskill guys asked me to bump up DRAM Voltage to make sure the ram wasnt DOA. His recomendation was 1.55 instead of 1.5v. Somthing about having to have a tad more voltage when using Full DIMM's? was perfectly stable at 1.56 as my setting allow +/-0.02v.
As for the CoreVoltage being set to 1.55v. That was the Max Safe voltage as far as I know, so I put it there just to hit 4.0, as soon as it was stable I planned to back it down bit by bit, to refine my OC. didnt Want to mess with not having enough voltage, and to my knoledge 1.55 shouldnt hurt anything as long as its only there for a short time
