Mem = x8.00 @1600MHz

DRAM V = 1.635v (my ram is rated for 1.650v)
NB Voltage = 1.400v (stock was 1.300v)
CPU/NB VID Control = +0.175 @ 1.275 (stock is 1.100v)
CPU Volts = +0.125 @ 1.525v (stock is 1.400v)

And yes this is 24/7 usage, with no problems, in fact currently idle its at 31C

Try that.
Will do. Thank you.

Yeah, my mobo is different, needed 1.35V for CPU/NB @ 3000

and...My STEAUA died around year 2000.

Yes, you did tell me to bump up CPU/NB voltage, didnt help at 1.300
I'm going to set in Ajmidd12's settings in my bio's. Should I maby loosen the timings of my ram from stock? or keep the 8-8-8-21? Thanks

I still dont get the point of burntest? its faster at telling me nothing>.<
EVERY setting I put in will pass any burn test, even ran it at 4.5GhZ for gigles, passed. prime95 on the other hand wont take anything past 3.6ghz. So from this experiance, it seems intel burn test is pretty useless? or am i missing somthing?

Yes but are you testing IBT with Standard, High or, Very High settings? Standard will pass pretty much everything that POSTS to windows.

Also my RAM timings are 9-9-9-24-T1 I haven't really tightened it up though. I'm happy with this performance for now

IMO get the CPU overclock stable before messing with the RAM timings.

When I said it passed IBT that was at the highest setting's without making a custom profile, running the test 5 times. I made a pass at as close to your bios settings as I can mimmik(do to diff hardware), agin, passes IBT, on highest test. instafail on my prime. After that I went back to the OC you guys have helped me with and bumped up CPU/NB freqency up to 1.3000 right befor I left the house, wasnt gone all that long, but I got a BSOD while running prime.

I'll set my RAM back at stock(8-8-8-21 T2), I had lossend it up to 9-9-9-24 T2 to see if it had help, didnt I have an idea or two that I came up with, I'll try them and report back.

Well I would hate to be the bearer of bad news but every C3 955BE is different, chances are maybe you got an unlucky one that needs 1.55v to stabilize at 4.0GHz. I know some people who can stabilize at 3.8GHz no problem, but then when it comes to 4.0GHz no matter what they do they can't get it to stay.

I hope what you are thinking of doing works out though

Either way you won't notice much if any of a difference between 3.8GHz and 4.0GHz.

well, it seems I have the unlucky chip, wont do anything but stock stable. I even used 1.55 Corevolts, BSOD. I was all excited when I saw I had a C3chip too lol I'l keep playing with it later. Thank you for all your assitance

I really think you need some other mobo for what you want to do.
Most probable the VRM is not delivering steady voltage.

Nonsense. I have a $80 MB and I OC'd to 4ghz on stock voltages.

correct, people have used my exact same mobo for a 4.0GHz clock. The problem I'm having isnt hardware lol. Its me! First time shooting for a real OC, so I'm sure I'm noobing it up some how
