3.8GHz on 965 BE without raising voltage?

Would this be possible? I have a Hyper 212+ CPU cooler and AS5 paste if that matters. I am at 3.6GHz right now with no voltage increase and it is running fine.

I also have the C3 version.

That is pretty damn good.Have you checked for stability etc?also how are temps?

You could well have a golden 965 there.

Golden? Not really. 3.6 without voltage increase is pretty standard...even my unlocked 555 can do it. If you can hit 3.8 without extra voltage, that would be pretty good.

Try it dude. In the time it took to ask you could've found out.

Also, I doubt it.

45 on load.

Also, I really don't know anything about OCing ram and NB so I really can't do that. Lets just hope 3.8 works :3

I can do 3.8ghz on mine without voltage increase_ but at 4.0ghz I had to set my voltages to 1.4volts in bios

So yeah 3.8ghz without voltage increase is possible ( I think its different on whatever motherboard you have)

On my previous Asus M4A77D Motherboard I could do 3.8ghz with no voltage increase and on my current Asus M4A89GTD Pro I have to touch the voltage a tad bit_

Might be a VDroop issue thing? Heck I don't know nothing about VDroop, damn voltages never stay still, they just bounce up and down

Do I need to overclock NB or RAM at all as well?

Stock voltage can be anything from 1.25v to 1.45v.. So you should rather talk about your actual voltage, not "stock".
