This latest time into the boot manager window, Ch4 M drive was selected default, at the top, ch5 M next then P0,,,then P1 the Vertex

After changing the setting in the registry to switch from IDE to Ahci, the drives are recognizedin te Boo manager window as SCSI What does that mean?

yeah sorry, just read an article then that you can adjust a reg key to set AHCI in windows, then boot back to your bios and adjust it there. Just worked for me (however boot times are still pretty lowsy!)

reg key is under LOCALMACHINE\\SYSTEM\\currentcontrolset\\services\ \MSAHCI

the key is the start key. modify the entry from a 3 to a 0 to set AHCI

hope this helps guys
